I was wondering about the buy out of Alltel by Verizon. Does that mean that current Alltel customers will become Verizon customers? If so, when will this take place?

Great question. Most Alltel Wireless customers will be converted to Verizon Wireless in the upcoming months with no additional effort by the customer. However, as part of the regulatory approval process, a select number of ZIP codes in which both Alltel and Verizon Wireless offer service will not merge carriers. In other words, Alltel customers in those ZIP codes will remain Alltel customers unless they voluntarily change carriers (early termination fees may apply). For those of you that are in integrated ZIP codes, you can choose to keep your Alltel cell phone or purchase a Verizon Wireless device. If you choose to change to Verizon Wireless before the official conversion, you may face early termination fees from Alltel Wireless.

How do I turn off my speaker phone on my MOTO W755 Purple?

To turn off the speakerphone, open the Motorola phone and press and hold the
Smart/Speakerphone key on the side of the cell phone. You'll have to hold the key for a few seconds. You should hear a slight beep alerting you that the speakerphone is turned off.

The W755 allows you to adjust ring volume or mute calls without needing to flip open the phone.There should be a button with a volume icon below and to the left of the external display on the front of the phone.

Pandora is slowly making it's way onto some Verizon phones. I would recommend sticking to music on removable memory for the time being.

I own a W755 purple Motorola. Battery holds charge if you shut it down at night, until says charge is complete. Will hold about two days if not sending video's or texting long messages. Got the phone in July 08 so a little more than a year. Biggest issue for me, I hate that backlight goes out in middle of texting, so I cant see to finish the text. Very irritating. I like the shape and size, its very comfortable in my hand. I especially like voice/name dialing when driving, so I can be safe.

I love my Motorola W755. It is easy to use and has a lot of great features. But, the battery is terrible. It doesn't last as long as it is said that it will last. I usually have to recharge mine a couple times a day and that is very inconvenient for me.
